Golden Butter Murals was born in 2024 by two longtime friends and artists, Kate Jones and Sarah Tyl. They first met while working in architecture (designing small-scale homes in Toronto) and merged their artist names—Butterfax (Kate) and Golden Grunge Studios (Sarah)—and started Golden Butter Murals. They love making art that’s bold, vibrant, and reflective of the people and places it represents.
